Facilities Facelift Phase 1 is underway!
re-Painting of walls in the large meeting room and the exhibition corridors are underway!
Upon completion of ‘Facilities Facelift’ the CAAA facilities will boast large community space, Local Legends Gallery with a permanent art collection, an Arts Education classroom, Music-Maker Headquarters, and a starving artist market.

NOVEMBER:
11/05/11 (Saturday)- Kids art starts at 10:ooam and ends at 11:30. $15 for members $10 for non. We will be working with sidewalk chalk and decorating the CAAA parking lot!
We will also be having the Crisp Area Arts Show and Sale inside the CAAA from 9am to 5pm. Come by to look at, or buy art work from local artist. There will be a variety of art as well as live demonstrations! Call the CAAA for more information.
11/10/11 (Thursday)- Joseph Ward of J. W. Designs will be giving a holiday home display demonstration at the CAAA building. Call ahead to make sure you get a seat. We are limiting the event to 30 participants.
11/17/11 (Thursday)- Visual Arts will be hosting a night of youth art at the CAAA. Crisp County High art students will be displaying their art work for everyone in the community to enjoy. Member or not, we invite you to join us for this fantastic show case young artist.
DECEMBER
12/3/11 (First Saturday)- SANTA BREAKFAST IS BACK! Our second annual Breakfast with Santa. Kids will get to decorate gingerbread men, make a variety of Holiday crafts, and most importantly…meet and get a picture made with SANTA !!! We will be providing breakfast from Striplings and will have a Sweet Shop filled with tasty goodies to take home with you! $15 for non-member tickets, $10 for members, and $5 for parents who just want breakfast. Tickets can be purchased at the CAAA building.
Our next intro to Photography class will be September 19th at 6:00pm at the CAAA building. We will be focusing on Black & White photography with your digital camera. If you would like to join us please call or contact Sunny at 229-273-6242.
Getting to Know Your Camera
The CAAA will be starting a monthly photography class for beginners! The first of the monthly classes will be held Monday August 29th at 6:00pm at the CAAA building. The first class will be our introductory class and we’ll focus on getting to know how to work your camera. It is not necessary for you to attend all the classes in order to participate in classes after the series starts. We would like to hold this class once a month, but that will depend on how much interest and participation we have in the classes. ART CAMP IS BACK!!!
The Crisp Area Arts Alliance will have Art Camp for 3 consecutive weeks in June 9am to 12 pm. Each week is designated for a different age group.
June 13-16 will be for kids LEAVING K-2nd, June 20-23 will be for 3rd-5th graders, and June 27th-30th will be for 6th grade and up.
The cost will be $8 per day for member children and $10 per day for non-member children. This price will cover all materials and snack for each child.

The Crisp Area Arts Alliance is hosting “A Night at the races” April 30th! Please come and join us at the Pine Hills Country Club at 7:00 for a night of fun, friends and “fo” horse racing! Tickets for members are $40 and all other tickets are $50. All tickets include beer/wine and hor d’oeuvres, your entry fee for the races and funny money to “bet” on your horses!
